Selling Sunset’s Jason Oppenheim is changing his tune on possibly getting married in the future.
While appearing on the Tuesday, December 2, episode of Alex Hall’s “Pretty Dirty” podcast, the Selling the OC star asked her boss if he is going to marry his girlfriend, Jessica Vargas.
“That’s the plan,” Jason shared. “Girls get so emotional over that. It’s so funny, I’ve never had a guy get emotional over that topic.”
When Alex reminded her costar that he always used to say that marriage wasn’t in the cards, Jason admitted that the new woman in his life may have led to a change of heart.
“That’s true,” he confessed. “I even told her when we were friends. I’m like, ‘No, I’m not going to get married.’ I didn’t see it.”
Before any proposal occurs, Jason said he is simply enjoying this chapter of his life with Jessica. Together, the pair appeared on Alex’s debut podcast and provided new insight into their relationship.

How Jason Oppenheim and Jessica Vargas Went From Friends to Lovers

Long before things turned romantic for the pair, Jason and Jessica said they were good pals who enjoyed hanging out together.
“We were best friends before and I think because I was previously in a relationship and we were just friends, we were able to really get to know each other,” Jessica shared. “We were just authentically raw.”
Jason added, “And we really got along and hung out and laughed.”

During the “Pretty Dirty” podcast, Jason recalled the exact date of his first kiss with Jessica was on January 9.
The Selling Sunset star wouldn’t go Instagram official with his girlfriend until April 21.
“Lately with us,” Jessica wrote via Instagram on April 21 in a joint social media post. “A few favorites from the camera roll and @jasonoppenheim bday extravaganza❤️.”

Although Jessica joked that Jason is a generous boyfriend who buys her handbags and treats her to special trips, there is much more than what meets the eye.
“My most favorite thing about Jason is his heart,” she gushed. “I know it sounds cliché, but I swear to God. He really is a good person to his core. I don’t think you can say that about a lot of people.”
As for her least favorite attribute of her boyfriend, she can’t understand why he rarely uses the AC — especially when it’s time for bed.

While Jason may have changed his opinions on getting married, he’s standing firm in not wanting to become a father. According to Jessica, she also isn’t interested in being a parent.
“That’s another reason why we super connected,” she said. “We just see eye to eye on all the things. ‘I don’t want kids. I want to do what I want.’ We were just back and forth.”
