The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp is starting to feel like herself again amid her stage 4 cancer battle.

“I’ve been doing a lot of therapy, a lot of rest [and] a lot of hanging with the family,” Mellencamp, 44, said on the Thursday, January 15, episode of her “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast, returning for the show for the first time in months. “[It’s been] a lot of trying to get myself together because, apparently, I’m struggling with massive PTSD.”

Mellencamp has been battling stage 4 brain cancer since early 2025, subsequently undergoing surgery to remove multiple malignant tumors. While not all the tumors were able to be removed in the operating room, Mellencamp also underwent courses of radiation and immunotherapy treatment.

“[The PTSD was] from everything that happened,” she said on Thursday. “I didn’t really realize it, so I’m starting to feel a little better. The cloud is lifting.”

Mellencamp was first diagnosed with brain cancer — she previously battled melanoma in 2022 — almost one year ago.

“Oh, my gosh, [it’s] February 12th,” she said, before podcast cohost Tamra Judge added that she saved the date “in [her] calendar.”

Judge, 68, continued, “It wasn’t that long ago … that we were [in] New Orleans for the Super Bowl and you were having such bad headaches.”

Mellencamp, for her part, noted how it’s been a whirlwind since her symptoms first manifested.

“It’s so crazy,” she recalled. “Everything’s good as it can be.”

As Mellencamp first underwent treatment, she planned to never give up.

Teddi Mellencamp is celebrating “exciting news” amid her battle with cancer. “Honestly, the crying is already done, but I just finished with all of my scans and my tumors have significantly shrunk, which doctors believe means that this all will work and that I will be back to myself and feeling good,” Mellencamp, 43, said […]

“I’m fighting for my life, but also for my family’s life and all the people I love,” Mellencamp, who shares three children with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave, told Us Weekly in an April 2025 cover story. “[My kids] all know that I’m fighting the hardest I possibly can, but I haven’t said [‘moms always come back’ to them] because I don’t want to lie to them. And I don’t know.”

According to Mellencamp, she has tried to cope with the difficult situation with humor.

“Everybody wants me to be super positive all the time. One of my coping mechanisms is being sarcastic,” she told Us. “I’d rather joke about it and have the best possible outcome than be completely in denial and have my heart broken.”

The Bravo alum also wanted to be transparent about her health battle with her and Arroyave’s children.

“They realize when I’m in pain and how massive the surgery was. I don’t know that they know the rest. I think they’re a bit scared. I’m going to fight really hard,” she said. “I can’t imagine my life without them, so I’m going to do everything I possibly can, no matter how mean it makes me.”

“It’s not f***ing fun,” John, 74, recalled of Teddi’s diagnosis on the Wednesday, January 14, episode of Joe Rogan’s eponymous podcast. “She’s got cancer in the brain, and she’s suffering right now. That kid used to call me up [for advice] and I’d go, ‘Teddi, you can have a thought without asking me if it’s … you know, figure it out yourself. You don’t have to ask me everything, you know?’”

Teddi, meanwhile, has been grateful that her dad leapt into action to be by her side.

“He has been beyond,” she said on the “Jamie Kern Lima Show” in July 2025. “The things that I wouldn’t be capable of doing without my dad — not only for financial reasons.”
