Jesse Lally is getting candid about where he stands with Jax Taylor, and how Brittany Cartwright is doing since their breakup.

“I check in on him. I’m trying to give him the space right now to work on what he’s trying to work through. You know, supporting Brittany, supporting Cruz. I think it’s important,” he told Us Weekly exclusively at the Cure Addiction Now event in Beverly Hills on Monday, November 10.

Referring to Taylor’s struggle with addiction and his mental health, which played out on The Valley season 2, Lally, 43, explained, “I was talking to Jax every single day the first time he went to the mental health facility. I talked to him all throughout when he went in for cocaine and alcohol addiction. Now, I just want to give him the space.”

Jax Taylor is taking a step back from the Bravo spotlight following The Valley season 2, Us Weekly exclusively confirms. The 46-year-old announced this decision in an exclusive statement to Us on Wednesday, July 16. “After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the […]

Lally told Us that Taylor, 46, has been keeping his distance from his friends as he continues his road to recovery.

“He hasn’t been active on text groups and he hasn’t been active on the phone because I think he’s really trying to focus on himself,” Lally shared.

When it comes to Cartwright, 36, he said we’ll see a new side of Brittany following her split from Taylor.

Cartwright filed for divorce on August 27, 2024, after five years of marriage, and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their breakup. The exes share one child, son Cruz, 4, whom she has full custody of.

“I think this season, you’re going to see a complete shift,” he stated, noting Cartwright has a great support network.

“Brittany is doing really well. All the girls are supporting her and she’s trying to move on piece by piece with their life,” Lally told Us on the red carpet ahead of the event.

Cartwright isn’t the only star on The Valley that we’ll see a shift in when season 3 returns next year.

Teasing the upcoming season, which won’t include Taylor, Lally said, “There’s so much to look forward to. We have two new babies. We have marriages to plan, weddings to plan, and I think you’re going to see just a different version of The Valley this season.”

There also might be a new face when the show makes a comeback.

At Monday’s event, Us asked Lally’s girlfriend, mental health advocate Lacy Nicole, if she would be appearing on The Valley season 3, to which she snickered, “We will see.”

Lally and Nicole, whom he began dating after ending his marriage to costar Michelle Saniei, were joined by a slew of celebrities for Cure Addiction Now’s second annual fundraiser, held at The Beverly Hills Hotel.

During the night, the event raised over $180,000 for the cause’s groundbreaking initiatives linking science and medicine in an effort to cure addiction.

Cure Addiction Now was started by socialite Nancy Davis after tragically losing her son, Jason, to the disease in 2020.
