Uranus, our planet of liberation through destabilization, is going retrograde in Gemini — and three signs will feel the fallout.

Uranus takes an average of 84 years to orbit the sun and move through all 12 zodiac signs, meaning most folks breathing and scheming today have never experienced this transit.

Uranus moved into Gemini on July 7, 2025, after a 7-year stint of kicking up dirt in the pleasure pastures of Taurus. Uranus will retrograde in Gemini from September 5 until November 7, when it will dip back into Taurus before re-entering Gemini for the long haul on April 25, 2026.

If Uranus were a character from modern literature, he’d be Tyler Durden from “Fight Club” — throwing punches, putting semen in soup, inciting Project Mayhem, and reminding the masses, “it’s only after you’ve lost everything that you’re free to do anything.”

In Gemini, Uranus aims and raises a fist at technology, communication — our relationship to facts and truth, and the exchange of information.

The planet teaches us that for change to be initiated and truth to rise, something has to shift or shed — and Uranus is the rattler of cages and the burner of boats.

In Gemini, this inciting energy will be expressed in off-the-wall ideas, unusual bonds of friendship, fickle love, and revolutionary rhetoric.

“When Uranus is retrograde in Gemini, all signs will take time to go inward with their thoughts, open their mind, expand their consciousness, reflect on their relationship with technology, the Internet, their local community, and travel, and strive to be their most authentic version,” psychic astrologer Jimmy, founder of The Tarot Ship, told The Post.

He shared that punk rock Uranus will “free our minds” through sudden insights, lightbulb moments, and upended thought patterns.

Jimmy, himself a Gemini rising, promises the people of the twin that their imminent life quakes will be beneficial in the long term.

“Gemini Sun, Moon, and Rising will feel Uranus retrograde the most, which will be a relief from the unexpected upheavals they’ve experienced. The retrograde asks them to change their mindset, which will free them from old ways of thinking,” he said.

Shaking loose spiralic thought patterns will help Geminis coax their creativity rather than continue to court chaos.

Jimmy explains that Uranus retrograde in Gemini will hit Scorpios in their eighth house and native domain of intimacy, shared resources, sex and secrets.

“Scorpios can thrive with Uranus retrograde, which will help them re-evaluate relationships, finances, and personal growth with forward-thinking, innovative solutions and ideas.”

He notes that emotional depth is the calling card of Scorpio and this transit may see them electrified when a surprising cerebral connection translates to physical passion.

Uranus rules Aquarius. Gemini activates their fifth house of pleasure, creative expression, children and the inner child.

“Aquarians spend so much time thinking of others, but Uranus retrograde in Gemini will shift focus to them.”

He notes that this transit will be beneficial to water bearers so long as they commit to infusing every realm of their lives (work, love, family, leisure) with a bit of whimsy and an absolute allegiance to their own amusement.

“Uranus retrograde has a supportive aspect to Pluto retrograde in their sign. This introspection can feel like training for 2026, when Aquarius will lead the brigade into the new era.”
