Fellas, if you’re reading this right now, you may be inadvertently enticing your ladylove.
Reading is the most attractive hobby a man can have, according to a study that has sparked spirited debate online.
The survey was conducted by Date Psychology, according to the Daily Mail, with the company creating a list of 74 male hobbies. Women were subsequently required to designate the hobby as “attractive” or “unattractive” for a man to do.
Reading came out on top, with a staggering 98.2% of women rating it as an attractive hobby.
Learning foreign languages, playing an instrument, cooking, and woodworking rounded out the top five, suggesting females are largely looking for a lad who’s cultured and well-rounded.
Painting, writing and photography also rated well, indicating that creativity is also alluring to the fairer sex.
Conversely, it appears that interest in online activities is extremely unattractive to women, with “the manosphere,” arguing online and watching porn all scoring dismally low marks.
Crypto, comic books and cosplay were all similarly rated as unattractive by more than two-thirds of women.
Ladies are looking for a man who eschews partying, with clubbing, drinking and smoking marijuana all also deemed not hot.
The results of the survey, which was originally published last year, are still sparking wild debates on Reddit almost 12 months later.
“People in the comments are acting like this is ridiculous, but like… the top of the list are all creative, physically active, or intellectually stimulating activities,” one defender declared. “The things on the bottom of the list are primarily about checking out and escapism.”
“Obviously, everyone enjoys a mix, but the idea of a person who does more of the top list items — who makes stuff, learns stuff, and is generally active and engaged — is going to be more attractive than someone who isn’t,” they added.
