Game on.

On February 11, 2024, the Kansas City Chiefs — reigning champs of the NFL — will meet the San Francisco 49ers for yet another Super Bowl in that neon den of the lotus eaters, Las Vegas.

Who will raise the Lombardi to the gods of the game, come Super Bowl Sunday?

The fates of the field have yet to speak, but the stars are suggesting one team is poised to conquer.

We’re 1-1 here at The Post, having correctly predicted the winner of Super Bowl 2023. (Slow clap.)

To assist you in your bet placing, we’re once again looking at the astrological stats of both teams, in order to determine just who is bound for glory.

Read on to learn more about what the stars have in store.

The astrology of Super Bowl Sunday

AP

This year, the Super Bowl takes place on February 11, when the sun, which represents vitality and trajectory, will shine through the mechanical heart of Aquarius and the moon, symbolizing instinct and emotion will glow in the poetic swamps of Pisces.

Balls will fumble, pop stars will cheer, hearts will break and Usher will sing — but not necessarily in that order.

Swifties = home-field advantage

As sage TikToker Courtney Hock notes, while the Super Bowl will be played on neutral ground, the rabid, global presence and buying power of Taylor Swift devotees, Swifties if you will, gives the Chiefs a clear and powerful home-field advantage.

On Sunday, Mars, the jockstrap planet of sex, sports and success will be in 29 degrees of Capricorn, the final degree before it changes signs.

Known as an anerteci degree, this is a panic/crisis moment for Mars and will imbue the game with an erratic intensity.

Look for high highs, low lows, and wild swings of fortune.

Add to the astroturf, that the moon will be conjunct Neptune, planet of hopes and dreams, delusions and undoing.

Ensuring fantasies will be fumbled and feelings will be hurt.

This game is primed to be an emotionally charged, close call that will see but one spandex-ed band of gladiators emerging grass-stained, sweat-blessed and victorious.

Kansas City Chiefs

Fun fact, it’s not just people who have birth charts, but cities and sports teams too!

The Kansas City Chiefs were established on August 14, 1959 as the Dallas Texans, making the team a hungry hearted Leo sun with a swashbuckling Sagittarius moon.

Not for nothing, Travis Kelce also has a Sag moon, while his girlfriend, HRH T. Swift, is arguably the world’s most famous archer.

Thusly, it tracks that that this golden couple would align in sign and play ball/stan so hard for the red and gold.

On Super Bowl Sunday the sun in Aquarius will oppose the Chiefs sun in Leo indicating a stressful time when the chosen path diverts from the original plan.

The sun will also square the team’s Jupiter, planet of excess and fortune, suggesting bluster/overconfidence could lead to undoing.

The moon will oppose the team’s Mars and Venus, adding volatility and a preference for fevered impulse over cool strategy.

San Fransisco 49ers

The 49ers were born on June 6, 1944, making the team a Gemini sun with a Sagittarius moon.

Come Sunday, the sun in Aquarius will oppose their Jupiter, suggesting an optimism that could border on hubris. The real kicker (pun intended) is that Mars will be opposing their North Node of destiny; a polarizing dynamic between force and fate.

There is serious need for balance here, and if the haywire energy of Mars can not be properly conducted, the team runs the risk of imploding.

This could be a real moment of breakthrough for San Fransisco and a chance to reclaim their power after three decades without a championship win.

Blessedly for SF, Jupiter will be making a sweet trine with the team’s Chiron or pain point. Jupiter magnifies all it touches and in this instance, the engery of healing is amplified.

This could be a real moment of breakthrough for San Fransisco and a chance to reclaim their power after three decades without a championship win.

Who’s got the goods?

In terms of team-based astrology and given the unparalleled power of Taylor Swift, I give advantage to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Quarterback star stats

In addition to the general astro-weather that will be reigning during Super Bowl Sunday, we’re looking at the birth charts and transits of both QBs. We’ll focus on their sun (the self), moon (emo interiority) and Mars (planet of action and athleticism) signs.

Patrick Mahomes

Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes was born on September 17, 1995, making him an industrious Virgo sun with a squishy Cancer moon and a ‘this means war’ Scorpio Mars.

On Sunday, Jupiter will oppose Mahomes’s Mars. This is VERY favorable, hero energy — so long as Mahomes keeps his cool and doesn’t lean into any Icarus-esque flights of fancy.

Mahomes’s Saturn, planet of limitations, lessons, and character development through calamity will be conjunct the moon. This is an emo transit where the pain of the past feels acute and the ability to express is restricted.

This conjunction can also bring up the underbelly of parental influence; getting criticism when comfort is called for, failure to support etc.

This seems to already be at play for Mahomes, whose father was recently arrested for a DUI. It could also manifest in Andy Reid, whom Mahomes places in a paternal light, having some sharp words for him and their sting being more immobilizing than motivating.

Mahomes’s Saturn/moon conjunction could manifest in Andy Reid having some sharp words for Mahomes and their sting being more immobilizing than motivating.

Dad jeans Saturn will also be forming a square with Mahomes’s planet of luck, suggesting the gods of the game will test his resolve.

Win or lose, this will be a point of departure for Mahomes, especially as he nears his Saturn return — a formative but very rarely warm and fuzzy transit.

Brock Purdy

49ers’ quarterback Brock Purdy was born December 27, 1999, making him a strive til you die Capricorn sun with a routine as ritual Virgo moon and an Aquarius Mars.

On game day, Purdy’s Mars in Aquarius will be within two degrees of the sun in Aquarius, meaning our man’s energy levels and athletic conquest vibes will be riding high. Sounds like a win to me, folks.

Purdy also has a mess of Jupiterian influence on game day, including sun sextile Jupiter (expansion, higher purpose, keeping the faith), Jupiter trine sun (Midas touch), Jupiter trine moon (exuberance, healing), Jupiter conjunct Saturn (reaping rewards, breaking free).

Who is favored?

I give slight advantage to Purdy, whose Jupiter-sprinkled game-day transits are less trying than Mahomes’s Saturnian influences.

Who will win the 2024 Super Bowl?

I put my money and my stardust on the 49ers, folks.
