Taylor Swift‘s fans are fascinated by her instantly recognizable camera filter, but Travis and Jason Kelce aren’t up to speed on the lore.
During the Wednesday, January 29, episode of “New Heights,” the brothers-turned-cohosts let their “interns” — Brandon Borders and Jake Chatzky — take the mic to discuss their experience at Arrowhead Stadium for the AFC Championship Game this past Sunday, January 26. The dynamic duo watched the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Buffalo Bills from Travis’ jam-packed VIP suite, where they were introduced to the tight end’s girlfriend.
As expected, “New Heights” listeners had plenty of questions about the crossover. One fan — a self-proclaimed “longtime Swiftie” — called the podcast to ask about Borders and Chatzky getting “f— ass filter privileges.”
Travis, 35, joked that the pair “signed an NDA” before being allowed into the suite, but Jason, 37, simply didn’t understand the question.
“I have learned about this recently,” Borders explained. “[Swifties] have a name for how the photos on that camera turn out.”
Jason admitted he was “so confused” by this particular piece of Swiftie knowledge, while Travis claimed to have never heard of the filter despite being “online.”
“They don’t just say a name, alright,” Travis said, coming to the defense of his girlfriend’s fandom. “They make it make sense. … Make it make sense.”
As the back and forth continued, it was clear the Kelces just weren’t getting it. “Taylor has a camera?” Jason teased before Travis chimed in, “Who?”
The filter in question puts a yellowish tint over the photo (think OG Instagram filters, but a little less cringe). A snap from the championship game has made the rounds on social media, showing Travis and his friends celebrating after the big win.
Borders revealed on Wednesday that getting into the suite was “a complete f—ing last-second Hail Mary,” adding that he and Chatzky felt “very lucky” to have received the VIP treatment.

“We were completely unprepared for the moment,” he continued, joking that the pair “forgot how to be people” when they saw the world’s most famous woman. “We were like, ‘Do we shake hands with her? What does she know?’”
Their worries quickly subsided. “She said our names immediately,” Borders said. “She was like, ‘Oh, my God! Brandon, Jake! Finally!’ We were floored. … It just threw us and we floated on over to continue the conversation. So that was a moment that I will sort of replay in my head for a while.”
Travis gushed that the pop star, who’s become a big Chiefs fan since the couple began dating in summer 2023, is “a pro” when it comes to breaking the ice. “You already know we keep the good ones around. You guys are every part of the friend group and the hang as anybody,” he told the “New Heights” crew. “It was a blast enjoying the rest of that chaotic suite once I got up there after the game. … That thing was rocking.”
