Travis Kelce is ready to address some questionable sideline interactions with Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.

“I love that guy, man,” Kelce, 35, told the Kansas City Star in an interview published Friday, September 26. “There’s nothing outside of this building that’s going to make me feel any different way. We know exactly each other’s intentions.”

Ever since the 2025 NFL season kicked off in September, Kelce has appeared visibly frustrated during multiple games. On some occasions, the tight end was caught yelling at Reid, 67.

While some game day viewers have speculated that there could be conflict between the pair, Kelce made it clear it’s just two guys passionate about the game of football.

Travis Kelce’s outburst toward Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid is being addressed by some major NFL legends. “I think what Coach Reid does best is he challenges guys to be at their best, and I love that about him,” he said in his latest interview. “It definitely helped me take my game to another level that game.”

On Sunday, September 21, Kelce was seen getting in Reid’s face on the sidelines during the Chiefs’ game against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

One day after the Chiefs defeated the Giants — their first win of the season — Reid addressed the viral clips to the media.

“The question came up yesterday about Travis and the intensity and all that,” Reid said on Monday, September 22. “‘Is he frustrated or not frustrated?’ Well, he’s seen how the offense works. So when things aren’t going the right way, he’s very aware of that. He’s a pretty smart guy, and he’s been doing it longer than anybody else on this team has been doing it.”

If anyone thinks Kelce could be benched or in trouble for his behavior, they don’t know Coach Reid.

As Reid explained, “He wants to make sure that he gets that point across to the guys, and so he does that. I’m OK with that part.”

The Super Bowl champion also told reporters that Kelce sees the potential in the Chiefs offense — even if their current record has more losses than wins this season.

“He knows also, like the coaches know, where we can go with this, too, and the growth we can have here,” Reid said. “We need to take care of business in that area.”

Another football player unbothered by all the chatter is Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

When responding to the viral interactions between Kelce and Reid, Mahomes, 30, didn’t show any concern.
