A rep for Justin Bieber addressed speculation that the singer is using drugs amid widespread concern, calling out the “exhausting and pitiful” rumors. In a statement to TMZ, the rep insisted that commentary on Bieber’s mental health “shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive,” explaining that the past year has been “very transformative” for the pop star. The update comes weeks after a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Bieber is “happier than he’s been in a long time” despite online chatter. “There’s no breakdown,” the insider added at the time, noting that Bieber “doesn’t care what people think” about his behavior.
