Less than one month after Liam Payne’s death, a friend of the late musician was charged following an investigation by the Buenos Aires National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office. Argentine newspaper Clarin reported on Thursday, November 7, that the friend — who was not immediately identified — was linked as a possible supplier. The development comes weeks after Payne fell to his death from the third floor balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires. He was 31 years old. A partial autopsy indicated that Payne, formerly a member of the boy band One Direction, had the recreational drug “pink cocaine” in his system at the time of his death, along with cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack.
