Funeral services were held on Thursday across North Macedonia as communities mourned the victims of last weekend’s nightclub fire.

The March 16 blaze in the eastern town of Kocani claimed 59 lives, including several members of the pop band DNA.

In Kocani, where 43 victims were laid to rest, hundreds of black-clad mourners carried white flowers and photographs of lost loved ones.

A solemn religious service, led by Orthodox clergy, took place at the city cemetery, with Red Cross personnel providing support.

Authorities have set up cordons to ensure privacy for grieving families.
