Wedding bells could be ringing as soon as this weekend for Hailee Steinfeld and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
The ceremony is “scheduled to take place over one of the next two weekends,” The Associated Press reported on Tuesday, May 27.
An individual “familiar with the details” shared the information with the outlet but stopped short before revealing the exact date.
However, Allen’s teammate Dion Dawkins recently let it slip during a live NFL Network appearance that the couple picked the date of Saturday, May 31.
The timing would make sense with the Bills’ offseason schedule. The team is slated for OTA offseason workouts from May 27 to 29, June 2 to 3 and June 5 before mandatory minicamp begins on June 10.
Allen, 29, and Steinfeld, 28, got engaged in November 2024, during the Bills’ bye week, after more than one year of dating.
In March, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the couple didn’t want “a long engagement.”
“The wedding planning is already underway,” the source said at the time. “Hailee is very excited about the planning process and now that Josh is done with the season, she hopes they can have more time to make decisions together.”
While Josh has largely been laying low, it’s been a busy summer for Steinfeld, who starred in the breakout box office hit Sinners.
“They only have a few timeframes they can have the wedding, so they are nailing down the logistics and are location scouting right now,” the insider added. “It will be a very intimate but extravagant event.”

An intimate wedding falls in line with the way Allen and Steinfeld have protected their relationship. The couple didn’t make their red carpet debut until the NFL Honors in February, months after their engagement.
“Hailee and Josh are extremely private,” the source explained. “They are finally feeling comfortable in sharing more of their relationship and their lives together, but it took several years. They are both private and low-key people and that’s why it works.”
The source said Allen and Steinfeld “hit it off right away” after meeting at an event in 2023, and the duo later connected online.
“They were very serious from the beginning and knew each other was a good match,” according to the insider. “Josh loves Hailee’s sense of humor, and she keeps him grounded. They laugh a lot together and also have a deep connection. Hailee is the most supportive partner, and Josh fell in love with her instantly.”
