In my career as a shopping writer, I’ve tested dozens of perfumes, ranging from luxury splurges to affordable drugstore finds. None of them have garnered the same attention as this sensual and sophisticated concoction. At girls’ dinners and even while traveling, friends and strangers alike have stopped me to compliment the scent and ask me where they can get it too.

I thought it was just me who was obsessed with the Me Eau de Toilette by Snif — I had no idea how much of a stir it would cause amongst my friends. The second I arrived to meet my girls for dinner, they caught a whiff of me and the compliments began rolling in. “Oh my gosh, that smells so good,” they told me, quickly followed by “What is that?” It happened again when I hung out with my childhood best friend for a day of shopping — and at the airport during a trip to NYC, when a stranger approached me with the same questions. That’s when I knew this was something special. . . and that it had to be shared with the world.

Who doesn’t love getting the most from a purchase? For beauty enthusiasts, that often means finding a versatile product with multiple benefits. The under $20 find has almost 27,000 five-star reviews […]

For me, this musky scent gives off a vibe of both romance and sophistication, reminding me of a low-lit dinner in Paris. A modern blend, it starts out with notes of plum, peach skin and white moss before transcending into a sultry mix of orris, sandalwood and musks.

Many of my perfumes often go unnoticed, but this one is potent enough that people actually pay me compliments. This also means that just even a little spray of it goes a long way. I apply it the old-fashioned way, spraying a little on my wrists before rubbing them together, since the pulse points help to activate the smell. Then, I’ll rub a little on my neck to spread the scent out.

This isn’t the only Snif product I’m obsessed with, though. I’ve long been a fan of the brand’s Sweet Ash Candle, and in the fall, I scooped up the Half Baked Pumpkin Smash Candle, which was done in collaboration with influencer Tieghan Gerard. Founded by Phil Riportella (whose husband. Simon Huck, is a Kardashian bestie), Snif seems to have its finger on the pulse of what’s modern and fresh within the scent world.

Though the perfume isn’t exactly cheap, coming in at $65, it should say something that I’ve convinced all my friends to buy it, too. While the 1-ounce bottle might seem small, I can promise you that just a spritz is more than enough. Every time I get something from the brand, it ends up becoming something I savor and wear for special occasions — and that’s why I’ll keep on going back.
