When it comes to the most popular Amazon Prime Video shows and movies, there usually isn’t a lot of turnover every week.

‘Deep Cover’ (2025)

Deep Cover isn’t a movie that takes itself too seriously, but there are just enough stakes to throw the main characters into real danger. Bryce Dallas Howard leads the cast as Kat, an actress and comedian whose dreams of success have largely died. Now she’s an improv teacher without any direction in life until DS Billings (Sean Bean) convinces her to use her improvisational skills to help him in his police investigations.

Kat recruits two of her students, Marlon (Orlando Bloom) and Hugh (Nick Mohammed), to join her undercover, but this unlikely trio soon find themselves in way over their heads. They’ve convinced the criminal underworld that they’re major players, and getting everyone out with their lives is going to be a real challenge, even for Kat.

‘We Were Liars’ (2025)

Cadence Sinclair Eastman (Emily Alyn Lind) comes from an extremely wealthy family in We Were Liars. How wealthy are the Sinclairs? Let’s just say that the show is largely set on their private island, Beechwood Island. And yet there are some things that even the Sinclair family can’t buy, nor can they dissuade Cadence from pursuing a relationship with her longtime friend, Gat Patil (Shubham Maheshwari).

‘Oblivion’ (2013)

There are certain perks that come with being the last man on Earth in Oblivion. Jack Harper (Tom Cruise) may be stuck on his home world fixing drones, but he also finds time to enjoy his moments of solitude. Jack’s serene life is disrupted when an object falls to Earth, and the only survivor is Julia Rusakova (Olga Kurylenko).

Until the crash, Jack assumed that Julia was someone he only saw in his dreams. But she’s very real, and Julia has information for Jack that will turn his world upside down. The alien invasion that began decades ago never ended, and Jack’s about to discover that his entire life on Earth has been a lie.
