Kristin Juszczyk refused to sit on the sidelines after San Francisco 49ers reporter Grant Cohn took a shot at her husband, fullback Kyle Juszczyk.
“Grant how about you stop being obsessed with my husband. That’s my job ❤️,” Kristin, 32, wrote via X on Sunday, October 11.
The post was in response to Grant’s sarcastic comment about the 49ers’ successful running attack against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, which came with Kyle, 35, out of the lineup with a knee injury.
“Without Juszczyk?? Impossible,” Cohn said via X in response to a post from ESPN’s Mina Kimes about the 49ers’ run game.
Cohn, who covers the team for 49ers on SI, responded to Kristin’s dig at him on Monday, October 12.
“His wife goes on Twitter, the one who makes the jackets, and is so nice — hasn’t tweeted in two years — and says, ‘Grant, why don’t you stop being so obsessed with my husband, that’s my job,’” Cohn said in a video posted via Instagram, referencing Kristin’s popular fashion business. “So I said fair enough. In honor of Kristin Juszczyk, I’m going to stop being so obsessed with Kyle Juszczyk.”
He continued, “I’m done. I’m retiring for Kristin. Out of respect for Kristin, not for Kyle. I feel like Kyle owed, not an apology, but an acknowledgment that what he wrote was f***ed up.”
Cohn was referencing a post Kyle made in October 2024, after the National Football League Players Association instituted a new locker room media policy.
At the time, Kyle posted via X, “Maybe we can keep @grantcohn from always hanging around our lockers while we’re changing.”
“If I’ve written f***ed up things or said f***ed up things, [I’d say], ‘Hey man, remember that one thing I said that one time? That was f***ed up.’ But he didn’t do that,” Cohn said on Monday. “But in honor of Kristin, I’m gonna stop taking gratuitous shots.”
Cohn then amended his stance, saying he’d lay off talking about Kyle for “two weeks.”
Kyle suffered a hyperextended knee with a bone bruise during the 49ers’ game against the Denver Broncos on October 4. The following day, San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said the fullback would be out for “a few weeks.”
Kristin and Kyle got married in July 2019. In an exclusive interview with Us in August 2024, Kirstin explained the secret to their success.
“We both need to individually be happy in order for us to be happy as a unit,” she said. “We’ve really lived by that. I feel like that’s why we’ve been together 10 years now and are happier than ever.”
