Channing Tatum had the best time walking the red carpet with his No. 1 girl: his 12-year-old daughter, Everly “Evie” Tatum.
The father-daughter pair attended the premiere of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle on Tuesday, September 9. In a post shared via Instagram on Saturday, September 13, Channing, 45, said it was “honestly a dream come true” walking the carpet with Evie.
“Walking the #DemonSlayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle carpet with Evie by my side was honestly a dream come true. She’s been my anime inspiration from the start, and sharing this moment with her made my first time voicing Keizo extra special,” Channing shared. “Having a project we both love in theaters now just feels unreal-heart is full and fanboy levels are off the charts!”
At the premiere, Channing told People that he got some “cool dad points” for his role as Keizo in the anime film, which premiered on Friday, September 12. (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle is the first film in a three-part series.)
“Stories are important,” Channing shared on the red carpet. “They’re very, very, very important, and this one, specifically for me and my daughter, is very important.”
Evie told reporters of the trilogy, “I think it’s beautifully made and has an incredible story line. I love anime, like, in general. So it’s like, beautifully animated, I guess.”
For the big red carpet night, Channing wore a navy suit to compliment Evie’s light blue dress. He shared his daughter with ex-wife Jenna Dewan. The former couple got married in July 2009 and welcomed Evie in June 2013. They announced their split in April 2018 and the divorce was finalized in September 2024. (She is now engaged to Steve Kazee, and they share two children: Callum, 5, and Rhiannon, 15 months.)
“Jenna and I are good now, but it was a painful break to have that fall apart, especially being so young,” Channing said in an interview with Variety earlier this month. “We tried to keep it together, tried for a year and a half. … It’s in the past.”
Channing recently ended his engagement to Zoë Kravitz, after they split in 2024. He has since started dating Inka Williams, who also attended the Demon Slayer premiere.
Channing and Williams, 26, made their red carpet debut at the event, and were all smiles as they posed for photos.
He recently showed off his relationship with Williams in a PDA-filled social media post to celebrate her 26th birthday. The actor was kissing his girlfriend’s cheek in one sweet snap.
“Happiest day of birth to my RIDER!” he captioned a separate image. “Love you so.”
