Demi Moore is open to embracing her silver strands eventually.

Moore, 62, admitted she will “100 percent” grow out her gray hairs when she has more of them while chatting with People on Friday, April 25. “I look at women who have that incredible gray, especially long, and I think it’s striking,” she added. “I would definitely do it. I just don’t have enough to make it interesting.” Moore went on to explain that she didn’t start coloring her hair until she was 55 years old.

Elsewhere in the interview, Moore shared that she’s “grown quite attached” to her long, brunette strands, “from a certain point of having had no hair.” (Moore famously shaved her head in 1997 to play G.I. Jane.)

When it comes to experimenting with shorter lengths, Moore isn’t sure if she’ll chop her waist-length locks anytime soon. “I don’t know, I feel fairly connected to my hair in a different kind of way,” she said. “There’s energy in hair, you know? But I never like to say never.”

Moore regularly wears her hair down on the red carpet, showing off how healthy, shiny and long her tresses truly are. In March, she wore her strands in beachy waves at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Moore paired her loose crimps, courtesy of Dimitris Giannetos, with a gold Gucci dress featuring a keyhole cutout detail. The rest of the glittering gown was finished with a hardware gold hoop neckline, a low-cut back and a fitted silhouette.

Giannetos later exclusively gushed to Us Weekly about working with Moore this past awards season. “What an honor to work with the icon,” he told Us at the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Awards in Los Angeles on April 24. “I couldn’t believe it. This was her moment, but it’s always a moment with her,” he added.

The hairstylist continued, “She was so busy, and she kept me by her side, and I was so honored. Every morning I would wake up, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m working with Demi Moore every day. Casual.’”
