Eva Marcille pushed herself to her limits on the upcoming season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test — but was it harder than The Real Housewives of Atlanta?

“They might be on par with each other. They’re both beastie,” Marcille, 40, exclusively told Us Weekly of the two shows on Wednesday, September 10, noting Special Forces is a “completely different world.”

Marcille will be challenged during season 4 of the Fox reality series to complete real tests that United States Special Forces do to become part of the military. While she previously starred on RHOA from 2018 to 2020, she teased that the two reality shows are nothing alike — even if one of her Special Forces castmates was also a Housewife.

“I had the luxury of being with Teresa [Giudice] from [Real Housewives of New Jersey] and her beautiful daughter [Gia Giudice],” Marcille told Us, describing Special Forces as a show about “camaraderie” where everyone is “all about one goal, one course, one head, one heart, one focus [and] one mission.”

She noted, “Everybody picks up slack and pushes themselves,” which according to Marcille, is unlike the dynamic that can exist as a Housewife.

Although she isn’t planning to pick up her peach again anytime soon, Marcille told Us that having a former Housewife by her side on Special Forces was a blessing.

Marcille recalled having “a beautiful opportunity to get to know” Teresa, who starred on RHONJ from 2009 to 2024, while battling the elements.

“I feel like we came in with what I think a lot of the other recruits felt too, is the world thinks that they know who we are, but they have no clue who we are, like, they really don’t,” Marcille shared. “They kept catch glimpses of our life. They determine who we are in their heads and so to be with each other and to be able to be our authentic selves, and not in a Housewife world, there’s no mascara, like, we were sharing deodorant.”

Marcille teased that they shared hair conditioner and “lip chap” and “really stick together” throughout the entire process.

The All the Queen’s Men actress revealed that as Special Forces went on, she and Teresa, 53, got to know the real versions of each other underneath the glitz and glam.

“It’s a different kind of bonding, and it’s a different kind of a sisterhood,” Marcille said. “I’m so lucky, I was able to get to know Teresa on that level.”

In addition to having a better sense of who Teresa is outside of the limelight, Marcille told Us that she now has a better appreciation for anyone in the armed services.
