Former Bachelorette Katie Thurston dismissed speculation that she and her husband, comedian Jeff Arcuri, are splitting after one year of marriage.
“I have a question: Are you divorcing me?” Thurston, 34, asked Arcuri, 38, in a video shared via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, April 21. “Well, I noticed you haven’t been ‘liking’ my posts, like, the last six you haven’t ‘liked.’ … The internet says you’re leaving me.”
Arcuri denied planning to end his marriage, even questioning whether Thurston was “serious” about the speculation.
“I don’t look at Instagram,” he said. “Are you serious? I’ll go ‘like’ them right now if you need to. I don’t ‘like’ anything.”
Thurston explained that a fake Facebook account recently shared the “shocking news” that the former reality TV star and Arcuri are calling it quits.
“Some random account [reported it],” Thurston told her husband, claiming that the social media user said “no wonder” the marriage supposedly didn’t last.
Arcuri jokingly responded, “Are you recording this? I am leaving you.”
Despite the speculation, Thurston and Arcuri’s marriage appears to be stronger than ever as they broach new milestones as a couple.
“Life update: @jarcuri and I bought a house! But not just any house, but one that will require a lot TLC to get her ready,” Thurston wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, April 22. “This is a huge project we will be documenting over the next year with the help of @salacuse and @jaedon.meek!”
She continued, “This is just the beginning as we create our demo plan with the help of @re_design_architects Join the Demo Diaries (in bio) for inside scoops and conversations and stay tuned for the future YouTube series to be dropped.”
Us Weekly exclusively confirmed in March 2025 that Thurston and Arcuri tied the knot one month after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
“It was so sweet. Obviously, we were wanting to plan a wedding and there’s a lot of emotions that come in with chemo and the impact and the health and we don’t know what the next year looks like,” Thurston exclusively told Us at the time. “And one night he said, ‘I want to show you that I still love you and that I’m here to stay. I’ll get married to you tomorrow.’ We flew our parents in from Michigan and Washington State. We got our marriage license and a friend is just gonna marry us.”
She continued, “It was this kind gesture of him saying, truly, in sickness and in health. He is proving that he’s here to stay. He shows up every day and he does it in ways that just continue to surprise.”
Throughout Thurston’s health battle — she was diagnosed with breast cancer that has since spread to her liver and elevated her diagnosis to stage IV — Arcuri has been in her corner.
“I want to be able to be in the hospital with her and just be like, ‘My wife’s in there.’ There’s more power to that,” Arcuri told Us last March. “I don’t want to be not with you for any of this.”
