Love Island USA returned for its eighth season in June 2026 — but are any of the couples’ age differences insurmountable?
After coupling up on the first day, Trinity Tatum and Bryce Alakai Dettloff struggled to get over their seven-year age gap.
“That’s crazy,” Trinity exclaimed after finding out Bryce’s age. “I actually thought you were 25, like, you literally look it. You have some good genes.”
By the time host Ariana Madix arrived that evening to introduce the first bombshells of the summer, both Trinity and Bryce wanted to get to know more people instead of continuing on together.
“There is this weird thing with Trinity and the age gap”, Bryce admitted to fellow islander Zach Georgiou. “I’m the oldest one here, she’s the youngest. You really fill into who you are from 22 to 26 when you get those experiences. I don’t want to steal her youth.”
When asked if the age difference bothered Trinity too, Bryce thought it did “a lot.”

Aniya Harvey and KC Chandler
Aniya and KC are both 23, and opted to stay together once the first bombshells arrived.
“I was nervous,” he admitted to Aniya afterward. “I was literally, like, ‘What if nobody opens the door?’ I think our conversation and our vibe is too strong to not go through with it. Like, we actually know each other now. I was happy as f*** too.”
Mackenzie ‘Kenzie’ Annis and Zach Georgiou
Kenzie is 24 years old opposite Zach’s 26. Despite only being two years apart, Zach pumped the brakes on their relationship because Kenzie wasn’t his usual physical “type.”
Kayda Bosse and Zach Georgiou
Zach was impressed by bombshell Kayda, who is 22, upon her late arrival. After spending the night in a private villa away from the other islanders, they recoupled despite a four-year age difference.
“I’m very happy,” Zach gushed of meeting his new partner.
Melanie Moreno and Sincere Rhea
Melanie is 24, which is just one year younger than partner Sincere. They opted to stay together instead of meeting the first new bombshells.
Beatriz Hatz and Sean Reifel
The Paralympian is 25 to Sean’s 29. Beatriz took a step back from pursuing their connection after finding out that the police officer is a single father.

Beatriz later recoupled with 26-year-old bombshell Gabriel, noting that he “definitely fits the category” of her typical physical type.

“I’m feeling happy I made the decision ‘cause sometimes for me it’s hard to do what I want,” he admitted to Zach after their night with Kayda. “The whole time I was thinking if I was on red and she was on green, it would have broken my heart, you know what I mean?”
