Jason Kelce has embarked on a pre-Thanksgiving fast in order to savor his holiday dinner.

“I’m going to eat my face off on Thanksgiving,” Jason, 37, told brother Travis Kelce on the Wednesday, November 26, episode of their “New Heights” podcast. “I just feel bad about myself ‘cause I was at Disney World and ate a bunch of freaking egg rolls and a bunch of other things that probably aren’t the best. Then, I went to Wisconsin and shoved a prime rib and an ice cream drink down my face.”

Due to his recent snack habits, Jason noticed that his weight was starting to “[go] up.”

“So, yeah, we’re going on a fast. I’m about 36 hours in,” the retired NFL center said, noting he and pal Marcus Spears jointly decided to go on the fast together. “I think if you don’t eat food for long enough, it becomes unhealthy. Apparently, if you do it the right amount, it’s healthy, [but] I don’t know.”

Jason Kelce continues to slim down in his post-playing days, but admitted he’s not quite in NFL playing shape when it comes to all aspects of his life.  A noticeably leaner Kelce, 37, attempted to relive his football glory days in a video posted by his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, on Wednesday, October 15.  […]

According to Jason, he only plans to fast for 48 hours before the Thursday, November 27, holiday.

“I have to try [and] I’ve just been having so much caffeine and other things to try and distract me,” he quipped. “I might eat a whole turkey by myself.”

Travis, 36, chimed in, joking that his sibling is the only one that eats the turkey anyway.

“When you fry it, everybody eats it,” Jason replied. “Kylie [Kelce] puts the cranberry sauce on. Her mom and her make a turkey, too. I’m just a huge inconvenience on Thanksgiving ‘cause Kylie and her mom are making everything. Instead of watching the kids, I go next door and fry a turkey with [dad] Ed [Kelce]. For an hour of the day, I’m just completely useless and making an extra turkey we don’t need.”

Jason and Kylie, 33, are hosting a Thanksgiving meal at their home in Pennsylvania. The couple, who have been married since 2018, are parents to four daughters: Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, who was born in March.

Kylie Kelce doesn’t want Jason Kelce to make any of her or their kids’ meals — unless it’s a PB&J. “[Kylie told] me after the shoot she was going home to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for her kids,” Good Morning America’s Lori Bergamotto said after her segment with Kylie, 31, aired on Monday, […]

“We got Kylie’s family [and] we got four kids,” Jason said of his plans. “I’m going to have to be wrestling these kids. It’s going to be a long day.”

Kylie also offered a glimpse into their meal prep on the Tuesday, November 25, episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast.

“Typically, my mom and I cook the turkey, and honestly, I feel like my mom carves it,” Kylie said on her podcast. “Jason has cooked turkeys in the last two years. He is in charge of frying the turkey. He tried his best, but if you ask him if the whole thing was safe to eat, the answer might have been no. He looked cute doing it though.”

Travis, meanwhile, will be absent from his family’s festivities as the Kansas City Chiefs have a football game on Thursday.

“I’ll be playing football, and then on a plane back to Kansas City,” Travis said on Wednesday, referring  to the Chiefs’ away game against the Dallas Cowboys. “I’ll probably miss a Thanksgiving meal unless we win and I get some turkey on the field.”
