Wedding bells were in the air for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez on June 27, 2025.
In May 2023, the Amazon founder popped the question to Sánchez while the pair were vacationing in Europe. “When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit,” she told Vogue in November 2023 while recalling the proposal.
As the couple geared up for wedding planning, Bezos weighed in on whether he would be involved in the process. “Oh, God, no. Do I look that dumb?” he quipped to Vogue.

The invite listed three charities that hold a special place in Bezos and Sánchez’s hearts. “Donations on your behalf are being made to the UNESCO Venice Office to safeguard the city’s irreplaceable cultural heritage,” the invitation said, “to CORILA to restore the lagoon habitats that protect Venice’s future, and to Venice International University to support research and education for sustainable solutions.”
The letter continued, “This magical place has gifted us unforgettable memories. Our hope is that through these efforts and by you joining us, Venice will continue to inspire wonder for generations to come.”
