Joseph Duggar’s release from jail has come with stipulations amid his child molestation case.
Duggar, 31, has been ordered to have “no contact with the victim,” who accused him of sexually abusing her when she was 9 years old, according to online records viewed by Us Weekly on Wednesday, April 1. Additionally, he cannot have any “unsupervised contact” with minors under the age of 18, including the four children he shares with wife Kendra Duggar.
Joseph posted a $600,000 bond and was released from the Bay County Jail in Florida on Tuesday, March 31.
Prior to his release, Joseph entered a written not guilty plea and requested a jury trial, per online records.
Joseph was arrested in Tontitown, Arkansas, on March 18 and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older.
The alleged victim, now 14, accused the 19 Kids and Counting alum of touching her inappropriately on her thigh and the outside of her underwear multiple times during a family vacation to Panama City Beach, Florida, in 2020. She claimed that Joseph eventually apologized for his actions, at which point the incidents stopped.
Joseph allegedly confessed to his actions during a phone call with the victim’s father.

Two days after Joseph’s arrest, he was hit with additional charges: four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree and four counts of false imprisonment in the second degree. Kendra, 27, was arrested on the same charges on March 20. She was released from the Washington County Detention Center in Arkansas — where Joseph was also held until his extradition to Florida — later the same day after posting a $1,470 bond.
A source exclusively told Us that Kendra’s arrest had “nothing to do” with Joseph’s molestation case.
“After his charge, they automatically do a home study if minors live there. They came to her house,” the source said. “Apparently, they had two rooms where the lock of the doorknob was on the outside instead of inside. They arrested her and took her kids for that, saying it’s evidence that she wrongly detains her kids.”
Kendra is not allowed to have any contact with her “unnamed victims,” per a conditional release form obtained by Us. This includes reaching out to them by “telephone (including text), in person, by computer or through other people.” If she violates the agreement, she is subject to “a separate offense resulting in [her] arrest and/or bond revocation” and could even be “subject to jail pending trial.”
Kendra is due to appear in Elm Springs and Tontitown District Court on April 29 at 2 p.m. local time. Meanwhile, Joseph’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 20 at 9 a.m. in Florida.
