Footage from Kendra Duggar’s arrest has been released days after she was taken into police custody.
The video, obtained by Us Weekly, shows Kendra, 27, wearing light blue jeans, a brown T-shirt and white slides. Kendra could be seen sitting down while handcuffed before speaking to a law enforcement officer. The short clip appeared to be recorded just after Kendra’s mugshot was taken.
Kendra was arrested on Friday, March 20, two days after her husband, Joseph Duggar, was taken into custody by Arkansas’ Tontitown Police Department on two charges after being accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl in 2020 while on vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida.
The victim, now 14, told police that Joseph “eventually apologized for his actions.”

Joseph is also facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, second degree, and four counts of second degree false imprisonment, with his wife facing the same charges. She was released on Friday after paying a $1,470 bond. Joseph, meanwhile, is awaiting extradition to Florida.
“Kendra’s arrest has nothing to do with Joseph’s — although one precipitated another,” a source close to the situation told Us Weekly exclusively on Saturday, March 21. “After his charge, they automatically do a home study if minors live there. They came to her house.”
Kendra’s arrest was related to the house visit, the insider explained.
“Apparently, they had two rooms where the lock of the doorknob was on the outside instead of inside,” the source added. “They arrested her and took her kids for that, saying it’s evidence that she wrongly detains her kids.”
A Duggar family spokesperson confirmed to Us that Kendra’s arrest was a separate incident, not related to Joseph’s initial charges.
“[Kendra’s] is a misdemeanor charge totally unrelated to the Florida case,” the statement shared.

Joseph and Kendra wed in September 2017 and share four kids. They have not publicly addressed their ongoing legal situation, but several other members of the Duggar family have spoken out.
Josh Duggar, who is currently incarcerated after being convicted of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material, said he was “deeply saddened” by the allegations against his brother.
“Josh understands the stigma of being accused. He lives with the painful reality of how false accusations can destroy a life,” Josh’s lawyer told the Daily Mail on the TLC alum’s behalf. “He understands how the targeting of a person for publicity can twist the truth into sensationalized fiction.”
