Jessa Duggar had her mother, Michelle Duggar, by her side as she gave birth to her sixth baby.
“So, I’m having contractions every three to five minutes,” Jessa, 32, said in a YouTube vlog posted on Saturday, August 2, as she walked up and down the steps at her mom’s house in Arkansas.
In a follow-up still, Jessa was seen lying in a hospital bed with Michelle, 58, on one side and a midwife on the other.
Jessa, who is expecting her sixth child with husband Ben Seewald, is one of the 19 children of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar. The Counting On matriarch has seldom skipped one of her daughter’s deliveries.
“I think that she’s only missed two, but each of ours she’s been there,” Jessa’s sister Jinger Duggar, a mom of three, said on an April episode of her eponymous podcast. [My son] Finn is grandbaby No. 37 for my parents, and that is insane to think about.”
Jinger, 31, and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, live across the country in Los Angeles and welcomed their baby Finn in March.
“She came a week before, she stayed a week and a half after, and she’s fully committed,” Vuolo, 37, said on their podcast episode of his mother-in-law’s support before, during and after childbirth. “So she comes and serves. She’s, like, taking everything off of your plate every morning. I mean, she wakes up before any of us. It’s really sweet.”

Jinger and Jessa were briefly pregnant at the same time earlier this year. Jessa’s Saturday vlog ended without her showcasing any of her latest little one’s birth, instead only highlighting what appeared to be the early stages of labor.
“Tomorrow is my due date,” Jessa said in a video filmed on July 24. “I had a visit with my OB a few days ago. I was dilated to 2 [centimeters and was] 50 percent effaced, and I lost my mucus plug a few days ago. Other than that, [I] haven’t had any signs of labor. So, just waiting it out.”
The former 19 Kids and Counting child star explained that she tried to kickstart labor by curb-walking.
“I gave it a try, [but] I haven’t noticed much of a change or anything like that,” Jessa said. “I’m still having Braxton Hicks contractions, and such. For me, my history has been that when I go into labor, I always feel contractions heavily in my back. I haven’t had any of those real contractions at this point. So, waiting it out.”
Jessa and Seewald, 30, also share sons Spurgeon, 9, Henry, 8, and George, 18 months, as well as daughters Fern, 5, and Ivy, 3. They did not find out or announce the sex of baby No. 6 ahead of the birth.
