Jade Haliburton, the wife of Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton, showed off her massive new bling just days after the couple’s wedding.
Tyrese, 27, and Jade, 28, sat courtside at the WNBA game between the Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces on Thursday, August 6. The couple were shown on the Jumbotron during a break in play, when Jade held up her huge wedding ring for the camera.
“The Haliburtons are in the house for tonight’s @indianafever game 💍,” the Pacers shared via Instagram.
Jade commented, “my husbanddddddd 😭😭😭😭😭❤️.”
The new bride shared a video of the moment to her Instagram Story, joking that Tyrese had managed to mess with her look.
“Leave it to my husband to screw up my hair 😭😂🥴,” Jade captioned the clip.
Tyrese and Jade celebrated their nuptials on Saturday, August 1, at a ceremony filled with family and friends and featuring a surprise performance by rapper 50 Cent.
“MARRIED!!!! cannot WAIT to show you guys all the content 🥹🥹🥹 stay tuned!!,” Jade wrote via Instagram on Monday, August 3.
Jade and Tyrese officially got married at a courthouse ceremony last month. “it’s (courthouse) official 🍾💍,” Jade posted via Instagram on July 21.
The wedding came less than two months after Jade’s friend Makenzi Kern died on Jade’s bachelorette party trip to St. Barts.
Kern, 26, died of “health complications” while vacationing on June 6, according to her obituary. An official cause of death has not been publicly released, and foul play is not suspected.
Jade broke her silence about Kern’s death in an emotional social media post on June 17.
“Kenzi was the funniest, goofiest person I’ve ever met,” Jade wrote via Instagram. “She was always making me belly laugh. She had such a gift of bringing happiness to every room she was in. Some of my favorite memories with Kenzi are the simple ones — spending a summer living in her city, leaving our mark on the capital district, running around our cars at stop lights, cheering on the bandshell together, obsessing over The Office, dancing on countertops to Hannah Montana, and watching her light up anytime she got to be on a boat.”
The post continued, “She loved and supported Tyrese and me through every chapter,” Jade continued. “She was our biggest cheerleader and showed up for me in every big moment in my life. I can’t even imagine our wedding day without her there celebrating with us. The day will not be the same without her, but I know she will show us she is there somehow. She has been there for all of our moments since the day I met Tyrese. But Kenz will forever live on in my memories, my laughter, my stories, and in the person I am because of her. I will never stop laughing about all our memories together.”
Jade and Kern met as cheerleaders at Iowa State University, where Tyrese was also a standout basketball player.
