There are plenty of platforms for finding vacation rentals, but if you’re looking to narrow down your search, Vrbo has just unveiled its 2026 Holidays Homes of the Year.
Released annually since 2021, the list is chosen based on a number of factors, including location, host quality (which is based on booking acceptance rate and host cancellations), and whether the home has facilities like pools, hot tubs or game rooms that are ideal for gatherings.
To be considered, homes also have to be in the top 10% of properties in a destination, based on reviews.
“This year’s list reflects just how far traveller expectations have evolved and how our partners continue to rise to the occasion,” Tim Rosolio, vice president of vacation rental partnerships at Vrbo, said.
“From unique design and standout amenities to the small, thoughtful touches that build trust, these homes deliver the kind of exceptional experiences that today’s travellers don’t just appreciate, they expect.”
