Six people, including a suspected gunman, are dead in rural Missaukee County, Michigan, after a multi-scene shooting, according to local reports.

Earlier Friday, Michigan State Police shared on social media that officers were investigating a shooting in the area and that authorities were looking for Chad Hickman, 39, who they said should be considered “armed and dangerous.” 

Police later said that Hickman had been located.

Officers began investigating Friday morning when three people were found dead and another was wounded at a home near LaChance Road and Kelly Road in Richland Township, according to UpNorthLive.

A fourth person was reportedly found dead in another home, and a fifth person was found dead in a wooded area.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Michigan State Police.

Hickman was later found dead, according to UpNorthLive.

“Not only is this difficult for our investigators and our troopers, but it’s very hard for this community. You know, this type of loss is tragic,” MSP Public Information Officer Lt. Ashley Miller told the outlet. 

“And we’re going to conduct a thorough investigation. And we want to make sure to keep our community members up to date on our current situation and what we’re discovering throughout this process.”

Police haven’t given any more details about what led to the shootings.
