Sister Wives star Janelle Brown and her new boyfriend, Pete, can’t stop gushing about their whirlwind romance.
“What happiness looks like,” Pete wrote via Instagram on Friday, October 2, sharing a smiling selfie with Janelle, 57.
In the picture, Janelle sported a blue, polka dot blouse while cuddling up to her beau on a dock overlooking a body of water. Pete, for his part, donned an olive T-shirt as he snapped their photo.
Janelle revealed in August that she had started dating again following her breakup from ex-husband Kody Brown. (Janelle and Kody, 57, were spiritually married from 1993 to 2022 and share six children.)
“Some chapters are meant to unfold quietly before they’re shared. I wasn’t looking. I certainly wasn’t expecting you,” she gushed via Instagram at the time, introducing her new partner. “And somehow, you turned out to be exactly what I didn’t know I needed.”
Janelle continued, “It has been pretty wonderful. Everyone, please meet Pete.”
Kody’s daughter Mykelti Brown, whose mother is the TLC patriarch’s ex Christine Brown Wooley, was among the supporters of Janelle’s new relationship.
“I’m so happy for you!!” Mykelti, 30, replied via Instagram comment, while Christine, 54, noted that Pete is “such a wonderful guy.”
In addition to Janelle and Christine, Kody was also previously married to Meri Brown. The former polygamist is currently only married to his fourth wife, Robyn Brown.
As for Janelle, she was previously wary about whether she planned to date following her separation from Kody.
“I’m not interested in dating at all. I’m not even interested. I’m not looking,” Janelle said on a November 2023 episode of Sister Wives. “I don’t even look at guys or men. It’s just blah. It’s too much work. I don’t want to do that.”
She further explained, “I’m not going to be hanging out where lots of single men are or whatever. Definitely, [I’m] sure as hell not doing that online dating thing. I don’t get the whole swiping thing. I don’t get that.”
Two years later and after Janelle’s move to North Carolina, Christine hoped to set up her former sister wife with a farmer.
“I’m thinking Farmers Only would be the perfect one for Janelle. I’ve seen commercials and it’s people that have land,” Christine quipped on an April 2025 episode of the TLC series. “Maybe she’d like a landscaper. I’m just saying. I could come up with a lot of ideas.”
