Amanda Batula vowed to protect Ciara Miller’s heart from West Wilson on the latest episode of Summer House — months before confirming her own romance with her friend’s ex.
“I was like, ‘The last thing I would ever do is invite Ciara and West out on an intimate date,’” Amanda, 34, told housemate Mia Calabrese on the Tuesday, May 5, episode of the Bravo series after learning that costars Ben Waddell and his girlfriend, Sabrina Belle, wanted to go on a so-called “double date” with Ciara, 30, and West, 31, who made amends one week prior.
Amanda pointed out that Ciara and West “just became friends” again following their 2023 split.
“I think it’s too soon,” Mia told Amanda as they sat on the beach watching Ciara and West flirt and play around with the rest of their Hamptons crew.
Amanda insisted that she was cool with the exes eventually dating again — but she wasn’t convinced West was in the right headspace to show up for Ciara at that moment.
“Even if they got back together — happy,” Amanda claimed. “Literally would make me the happiest person in the whole entire world. The happiest. But he needs to be f***ing ready. It’s him.”
Mia was in total agreement, replying, “He needs to be all the way in and he just cant f*** with her again like that.”
“I’m skeptical and weary of him,” Amanda admitted, as Mia responded, “My concern is not Ciara at all.”
Amanda noted that Ciara is a “very special, incredible person” who needs to be treated “differently than any other woman in the world.”
She hinted that West was not who she pictured rising to the occasion — at least not that summer. “Until a man is capable of doing that, I don’t trust anyone with her heart,” Amanda confessed.
Amanda then turned to Mia and vowed, “I would die for that girl. The way I would cut West off in one f***ing second if she looked at me. If she gave me one look, [I’d] attack.”

Amanda’s ride-or-die energy during Tuesday’s episode — which was filmed in late August 2025 — is raising eyebrows after she and West confirmed in March that they are romantically involved.
The pair said in a joint Instagram Story at the time that it was “never our intention to purposely hide anything,” but they were trying to sort out their feelings for each other before going public.
The romance declaration caused a stir among Bravo fans and the Summer House cast. Just two months earlier, Amanda and estranged husband Kyle Cooke announced their split after four years of marriage.
West and Amanda’s relationship also came on the heels of his ups and downs with Ciara, whom he dated in 2023 and flirted with on and off for years. A source exclusively told Us Weekly in April that West and Ciara were even hooking up as recently as “about three to four weeks ago” and that Ciara didn’t know anything about Amanda.
While West later claimed that there was no “overlap” between any of the relationships, Kyle, 43, confessed in an April TikTok interview that he is reevaluating how “handsy” West was with Amanda while filming their show last summer.
Ciara, meanwhile, told Glamour last month that she and West had previously created “boundaries” to help move their friendship in the right direction. “One of those [boundaries] was no more sleeping with people on Bravo. Obviously, now that’s out the window,” she quipped.
Despite the backlash, West and Amanda are still dating, which fans will learn more about when the season 10 reunion airs later this month.
“The cast is mad at West and Amanda because of the way they handled things at the reunion,” a source told Us on Tuesday, noting that Ciara will “never be friends” with West or Amanda after what transpired at the reunion.
The insider teased that Ciara “wanted answers [about their relationship] by the reunion to make up her mind, but she is finally finding out who Amanda really is.”
Summer House airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
