Sydney Sweeney is adding designer to her résumé.

The Emmy-nominated actress, 27, is “launching a lingerie line very soon,” a source tells Us Weekly.

“This has been a huge project for her and something she’s been working on for the last year,” the insider shares.

Sweeney has the financial support of her new billionaire pal Jeff Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sánchez, whom the source says “invested” in the business venture. (Puck reported on Wednesday, July 9, that Ben Schwerin, a partner at private equity firm Coatue, is backing the Euphoria star’s line. Coatue recently launched its Innovation Fund with a $1 billion injection from the family offices of Bezos, 61, and fellow tycoon Michael Dell.)

Sydney Sweeney is no stranger to the red carpet. From sexy sheer dresses to waist-mincing designs, the Euphoria actress has no shortage of fabulous red carpet moments. One of the star’s most buzzed-about red carpet fashion moments was from the 2021 People’s Choice Awards, where she exuded Old Hollywood glamour. Sweeney donned a black velvet […]

The news could also explain why Sweeney attended Bezos’ and Sánchez’s star-studded June 27 wedding in Venice, Italy, as the White Lotus alum did not have any prior known connection to the couple.

Us Weekly has reached out to Sweeney’s and Bezos’ reps as well as Schwerin for comment.

While Sweeney is best known for her acting career (her most recent blockbuster films include Anyone But You and Immaculate), she is simultaneously growing quite the business empire.

Sweeney serves as a global ambassador for brands including HeyDude footwear, Bai beverages, Laneige skincare and Kérastase haircare. She has also released products with Frankies Bikinis and Dr. Squatch (notably her instantly iconic bathwater soap).

“I thrive in chaos,” she joked to Empire magazine in May. “I love working. I love having to juggle multiple things at the same time. I don’t really sleep much, but I do best when I don’t sleep much.”

Sweeney has said that she pushed herself to become one of the biggest stars of her generation after enduring a difficult childhood, which included her parents going bankrupt.

“I knew that I could never actually fail because, I mean, on a very broad scale, my family did lose everything,” she told Glamour last year. “They did get a divorce. Whether or not that was because of coming [to Los Angeles], it definitely was a catalyst for it. So I knew I had to succeed in some capacity so that it wasn’t for nothing.”

Now, Sweeney has an estimated net worth of $40 million and even made Forbes‘ coveted 30 Under 30 list in 2023.

“It’s a weird feeling when people are like, ‘Oh, you’re successful,’ or say, ‘You’ve made it,’” she mused in the Glamour interview. “It doesn’t feel like that because there’s so much more I want to accomplish and achieve. I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of what I’d like to do in my life.”
