Tom Brady is several years removed from playing in his final NFL game, but the discipline he exhibited on and off the field helped define his legendary 23-year career.
The “TB12” method helped Brady become the NFL’s GOAT, as he won seven Super Bowls. His NFL Sundays look a little different now, as he’s in the booth instead of on the gridiron. But whether it’s on the microphone or even on the golf course, or even everyday health, there is still a competitive fire within.
Brady’s version of “healthy” is a bit different these days, but the main thing is still the main thing.

“It may be a little different in terms of what you do or the time you commit, but at the end of the day, it’s all about being preventative with your health and wellness, preventative medicine and preventative care,” Brady told FOX Business in a recent interview.
“The more I thought as a player about how I could prevent injury before I got hit, the more time, energy and resources I put into preparing my body for what it was about to undertake. That’s a lot of what I still do. I’m just not getting hit or throwing passes, but I don’t want to get injured. I don’t want to be an older person and tear my Achilles.”
That mindset is what continues to shape Brady’s post-retirement ventures. The NFL legend’s latest partnership is with SharkNinja, a company known for its vacuums, blenders and other consumer products. Brady appears in the brand’s new holiday season ad campaign alongside soccer legend David Beckham, comedian Kevin Hart and tennis star Aryna Sabalenka.

Brady’s competitive edge, though, stretches far beyond athleticism and health to everyday “commitment.”
“How can I be a better friend or a better dad? How can I be more committed to the people who have committed to me and more committed to the commitments I have?” he said. “Obviously, I have to look at the person in the mirror every day. I have to make sure I follow through with the commitments I make to myself. How can I be a little bit better physically by taking care of my body and treating it the way it needs to be treated? I want to live a great life.
“Mentally, I want to take care of my thoughts and where I put my time and energy. I want to continue to learn from people who are much smarter and more successful than I am. Emotionally, how can I challenge my heart and emotions to grow through the different aspects of life and being a dad and supporting my kids?
“We’re all here for one life. We should live it to the fullest, keep growing and try to be a little bit better. That’s how I approach it.”
