We TV is the latest network to invest in age gaps with its new show, Age Inappropriate, but what is the age difference between each couple?
The show, which premiered in August 2026, follows five couples who are described as having “shocking age gaps.” According to the official synopsis, each pair will “bravely step into the spotlight as they navigate love, clashing life stages and the scrutiny of everyone around them; is age truly just a number, or will their generational divides prove too large to bridge?”
Season 1 introduced a wide range of duos, whose age gaps ranged from nearly 20 to 40 years. Each couple is also at a different point in their relationship, with some being married for years — while others are still in the earlier stages of commitment.
Age Inappropriate isn’t the only series exploring the concept of an age-gap romance. Netflix’s Age of Attraction, which premiered in March 2026, is hosted by real-life couple Nick Viall and Natalie Joy, who have their own 18-year age difference.
The Age of Attraction description introduced the concept where “age is thrown out the window when singles search for their soulmates, but will the years come between them?” Season 1 concluded with two couples who are still going strong.
