Dancing With the Stars pro Witney Carson and her family are laying roots in Florida after their move from California.
“We really love California. I feel like California is the prettiest state. I think it’s so beautiful and I think there are a lot of pros to living in California. It’s obviously closer to my hometown in Utah. But for right now, we are really happy in Florida,” Witney, 32, exclusively told Us while promoting her partnership with Chevron.
Witney, who is pregnant with her third child, shared that sons Leo, 5, and Jet, 3 are “thriving” in the sunshine state after she and husband Carson McAllister relocated their growing family in 2023.
“They love their school. They love their friends,” she explained of their children adapting to their new home. “There’s pros and cons to everywhere, wherever you live. But right now we’re just taking it year by year, and as of right now, we are happy where we’re at.”
Witney, however, has traveled back to California to compete on DWTS season 35 alongside partner Guillermo Rodriguez. As she navigates her third pregnancy and rehearsals, Witney told Us that she has “honestly been OK” balancing both.
“I feel like I’ve had a lot more energy than I did in my first trimester. The nausea is starting to subside and I’m starting to have a little bit more energy,” she said. “It’s funny, because I was telling Guillermo I feel exactly the same physically, I’m just more out of breath. But I really feel physically like, I don’t feel like I’m pregnant at all honestly. I feel like I can do all the same things, which is such a blessing. I know that it will start to get a little bit harder once I get a little bit bigger.”
Before the double series premiere kicks off on Tuesday, September 15, and Wednesday, September 16, Witney squeezed in one last vacation with her family.
“We took a trip to Idaho and we went up into the mountains with our extended family and our cousins and aunts and uncles. It was so nice to be able to kind of disconnect, especially because we knew we’d be coming to L.A., which is really hard to do in the city,” she said. “So being able to be up in the mountains and having the kids fish and camp and do all the things that kids do, get dirty — it was a great bonding time for us.”
