One woman’s hack left her bathroom glittering — but not in the way you’d think.
A content creator named Chrissy says she sprinkles glitter in obscure places before her husband starts cleaning to see whether or not he does a thorough job.
The crafty wife revealed the trick in a TikTok video that has scored more than 37 million views and racked up a whole lot of controversy.
“I cleaned the rest of the house this morning, I just needed a break for an hour,” Chrissy claimed in the clip.
Her husband supposedly promised he would scrub the bathroom if she took their children to the park.
Before leaving, Chrissy secretly sprinkled magenta glitter under the toilet seat, bath mat and soap dispenser on the sink counter to see whether her hubby was accountable.
“He often says he has done something when I’m sure he hasn’t,” she continued. “Let’s see if he actually does it!”
While some viewers argued that the bathroom already looked clean and didn’t need any further scrubbing, others were baffled at the “trust issues” and relationship “red flags” supposedly exhibited in the clip.
“I’m gonna be so real with you. do yall seriously not get tired of playing these games with these manchildren? did you marry a man or adopt him? I seriously can’t understand putting up with this,” one flabbergasted TikTokker wrote in the comments.
“Tell me you need couples counseling without telling me you need couples counseling,” quipped another.
“I cannot imagine having this little trust with your partner wow,” a third said in disbelief.
“If u need glitter to tell the difference between before and after being cleaned the bathroom was already clean,” another theorized.
A few days later, she posted a follow-up video addressing the cleaning debacle, revealing whether or not her hubby had handled the task.
Lo and behold: the hot pink glitter was right where she left it.
“What did you think was going to happen,” she scoffed in the caption of the clip, in which she added she’ll just clean it herself.
While she brushed off the issue, viewers called for a “divorce.”
“This isn’t funny and cute girl, he actively is not making an effort to have a equal house…im sad for you girl. Please have a convo with him,” implored one person.
“So you have another kid in the house! congratulations mama,” another said sarcastically.
“Divorce babe divorce,” urged someone else.
