Zendaya is embracing a digital detox, according to her mom, Claire Stoermer.
Stoermer, who shares Zendaya with ex Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, posted a childhood photo of the actress via Instagram on Tuesday, September 1, to mark Zendaya’s 30th birthday.
“Happy 30th birthday to the love and light of my life!! even tho you’re not on socials anymore, and you won’t see this!! we just got off facetime!! 🤪☺️,” Stoermer captioned the post.
However, just hours later, Zendaya returned to Instagram for the first time in nearly two months, thanking fans for their well wishes as she enters a new decade.
“I can’t thank ya’ll enough for making the last year of my twenties so beautiful, I have so much to be grateful for and so much to look forward to, with love as always….here’s to 30!!!!!🥹,” the Odyssey and Euphoria actress captioned her own throwback photo from her childhood.
Before Tuesday’s Instagram post, Zendaya last posted to the social networking site on July 8, sharing the trailer for the upcoming Dune: Part Three.
The Emmy winner has had a busy 2026 in front of the screen, with the final season of Euphoria airing on HBO earlier this year. Zendaya has also starred in three movies, The Drama, The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the latter of which has broken numerous box office records.
Aside from her busy work schedule, the actress also married her longtime love and Spider-Man costar, Tom Holland.

Back in March, Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach teased that she and Holland, 30, had wed in private.
“The wedding has already happened. You missed it,” Roach, 48, told Access Hollywood at the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1.
In an interview with Esquire UK in June, Holland confirmed that he and Zendaya were married.
Holland was asked if he had to explain viral AI-generated images depicting him and Zendaya at a wedding to any of his friends or family. “No, because they were all there,” he responded.

In the same interview, Holland gushed over working with Zendaya, with whom he has appeared in two movies — Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey — this year.
“Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” the actor said. “We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.”
“So, for me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I ever have been when I’m with her, but I also have never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period,” he added.
